It's been a long time since I've owned one of these, but I don't know why. Although I have a large number of these brushes around, none with a cover. So when I go to use them, they're clogged with little hairs and I have to try pulling them out or they'll get in my eyes. Now that I know about the tool, it's simple: put the lid on and don't worry about any bacteria getting into the brush; it's perfect! This is by far the best idea ever!
