I've gone through at least 3 of these adapters since 2012 and this one broke faster than the others did. One day this week, the smaller cord on the block began to chaff and give the short on adding power. Normally, when it starts shorting, you have at least a year left and you might be able to wind the smaller cord next to the block with electrical tape to keep it going. But not this time. Just a few days after I noticed the chaffing, the small cable just broke off without any force applied. I've never seen it break so quickly after the chaffing started. It's a horrible adapter and I need to check out the cheaper knock-offs because $79 for something that won't last at least 4 years, is a waste of money.
